front cross member wanted t2

anyone got a front x member for my 1999/2000 t2 se lwb mine is shot and needs sorting, its the one that has the rad mounts on it, been told its a mot fail unless i can get a welder and /or bit.:nenau ta much davie scottyland

I had same problem with a 1993 2.7td.
couldnt buy one so took a few measurements then got the angle grinder out.
only bit worth saving was the part the rad sits in.
Isnt it about time they sorted this weak spot out .only needed underseal.:doh.
so if you know a welder thats probably the way to go.

I am breaking a Mk 1 think the X member is ok but do not know if it is the same as yours, perhaps some body can advise, I will check mine out in the daylight tomorrow, if it is sound I can cut it out, Rick

Yep they are the same, I did mine last year:thumb2
Used a nice early on mine and all was well. See my photos for how to:thumbs
