so im right,not just being paranoid,it seems if i post something fairly tame maybe little near knuckle its jumped on,anyone else can post stuff that would land you in the cells but hey ho thats ok it aint jace! maybe i should print this stuff out incase i suddenly find myself locked out!

Really need to look at bigger picture, the thread was closed not removed, it had served
what purpose it had and no one else in it complained. There was a request from a member
and one of Bat21's posts was quoted, not by me!

Perhaps the pub should be renamed the moan & gripe, or soap box. When you click on
the site in your browser favourites, is it because you want to ask a question, see if you
can help someone, see whats new in the 4x4 world or just see if theres a pointless debate
or scuffle that might need you? Well for me its the first three.

Its been said before, there are escalation routes, so PM Bat as I'm a member first and
just trying to keep site moving smoothly second.

The bottom line is that this is a privately owned site, not a public forum, so whatever the owner or his appointed mods want or don't want, is what happens. Simple as that. Nothing to discuss.

if you are offended /upset/annoyed by a post or a member , there are plenty of avenues to resolve the matter as has been stated many times my friend , if i personally have offended /upset/annoyed you in anyway shape or form , then i apologise most profusely as that wasnt and i hope never will be my intention
 
no nothing you have posted ofended me in any way,my gripe is why am i being singled out for special treatment,it all seems funny/boring to everyone else until it happens to them.
the reasons for shutting the thread dont wash when you look around forum plenty of ruder/racist/sexist posts still in full flow,i paid my tenner so am entitled to equal and fare treatment,if i dont get it i kick up a fuss,telling me youd just allow it to happen to you!
 
What we need is a agony aunt to sort all breakdowns in relationships/taking piss too far/rude jokes because everyone gets them on their phone and post on here.So who wants to be jeremy kyle.But there again it is a 4x4 site.

The conversations on here mirror life in general. To compare it to the pub, if comments are posted that would make you lower your voice and look around to see who was there if they were made in the pub, mods will be thinking about acting :thumb2

Unfortunately a lot of valid discussions in this case re his behaviour get diverted by strong and potentially inflammatory comments on other aspects of the person under discussion. On this occasion moslems/immigrants in general.

i don't think you are being singled out for different treatment, it is just that the type of material you wish to discuss always leads to misguided and inflammatory comments. Many people have tried to reason with this on here and it always ends up with 'tit for tat' rhetorical responses to reasoned arguments. The only real way forward with this is to just stop discussing this type of thing - full stop.
 
its quite easy to prove i am and i have posted from jokes section to prove my point,you esp plank will find the joke contains very offensive/illegal material to some,yet it has been there ages with no comment from anyone,no mod has jumped on it or anything,yet my thread is closed when it is very tame compared!
a mods descion can only be final if it is aplied fairly and equaly,this one was not!
 
the trouble is with these type of threads is they are OK as long as everyone grumbles along in the tired tabloid way 'no rights for us', send em back' 'bloody immigrants' etc. But when someone stands up and offers an alternative well reasoned point of view they get picked on.

I have been called a trouble maker and repeatedly ganged up on by a Small group of members for NOT i repeat NOT being a racist (and no Jace that has no reference to this thread so don't make out it has -again) Then when mods step in those same bullies moan about being bullied!

I have been accused of complaining to mods - not true

sending Pm's about people - not true

bleating on - for no agreeing with racist point of view

i am the PC brigade - again not true, more tabloid nonsense.

being a trouble maker - not trying to do the opposite

do I bang on about it? NO

so who is being singled out mate? not you :augie

I have also had a thread closed by a mod who thought it might cause problems, accepted it and moved on.

So why don't we all do just that?
 
maybe i refuse to acept ive done anything wrong and i say again look at the thread from joke section and tell me that it is in your opinion not as bad as mine! then you have your answer,ignoring the reason im arguing wont make it go away!
