i think rick is sailing on the sunday and arriving monday,
and he`s sailing from Portsmouth to st malo.

Hi Guys just something I thought about today,so thought I would tell you now encase I forget ( Alzheimer's kinking in).
Make sure when you get on the ferry you have enough fuel to last you till Monday. As all the garages and supermarkets are closed here on Sundays and the machines don't take all English cards.

cheers for that john,
will make sure we`ve got plenty of veg :naughty
hows the weather over there ?

i`m putting an order in for some sunshine, for the back end of may/ june,
maybe i should bring that forward a bit ?

yes make sure you have plenty of veg in the boot as its a food stuff you can carry it legally however if you had external/internal jerry cans fuel of fuel they dont let you travel at least not on the euro tunnel ferries mite be different but i dont think they are.

its even illegal to carry a full fuel can in the uk in the boot of your car, go figure my traffic cop mate is full of stuff like that, well they love there jobs dont they :doh

It's like going back to the 60's everything's shut Sunday , lots of things are shut Monday's , almost everyone shuts for Lunch 12pm-2pm. except some on Saturday's, its quirky when your on holiday , but a pain in the arse when you live here!:banghead:

yeah , i remember those quite sundays,
a good lie in bed, couple pints at the club a game of dominoes followed by a big Sunday roast and a kip on settee
then watching bullseye on the telly :doh
i still dont like to make lots of noise , its a respect thing

Only sat nav I have is UK and doubt it will work in France, but am an ex trucker that did many thousands of miles over there, was 30 years ago, but think my drivers French should still be good enough, used to be able to count to a hundred with no problem, not so easy now, Rick
