so we dont get lost on the way to his :doh
all the roads look the same :lol:lol

fitting a cb radio at weekend for when where over there,
then if we get split up or lost at least we can argue in English to each other :naughty

got a map of brittany now, just to get a feel of where were going
 
Only sat nav I have is UK and doubt it will work in France, but am an ex trucker that did many thousands of miles over there, was 30 years ago, but think my drivers French should still be good enough, used to be able to count to a hundred with no problem, not so easy now, Rick
It's not that bad from st Malo as its nearly all on the motor way .I will send you the rout nearer the time and we will meet you in Carhaix-Plougour which is about 20 mins from our house. with andy & steve, John:thumbs

Being able to count to a hundred sounds easy ,but its not .Especially 69-99 :question. If you pm me your Address I will send you a map with the best rout masked on it, John
 
I don't know how much it is going to cost me but I am going to have to withdraw from this trip.
I have paid my deposit of 35 quid and cancellation is the deposit plus amendment fees.:nenau

Sorry to here this Steve, I know you were looking forward to coming , but It's the finance I know, you too have had it bad with all the rain.

im sorry to hear you cant make it steve, we were looking forward to meeting you both,
we`ll have to meet up over here sometime, maybe a bit of camping later on in the year,
 
One week to go

Only one week to go till Andy and Rick come to France . Been looking forward to this for three months now and I hope It will be a great week .I'm sure there will be a lot of pics to post up so I will start a thread from Friday for all three of us to post them .Andy is setting off Saturday and Rick Sunday so they will probably post pics of there journeys to the ports and on ship. John:thumbs:beer::freak3:
 
spent today getting ready for this trip , :thumb2
had to go out shopping today :doh for the final items we`re taking with us,

got plenty of veg oil and beer tokens though :clap
 
been so busy have done very little, but have got our EHIC cards for heath insurance that I am told we need, so why is it others can come over here and get free treatment without such card???????????????????????????, any way we will be ready on the day and looking forward to meeting Andy and John and families, regards to all, been avery hard week so well into my scotch, as only got Sunday off then another hard week to come, got to re do a complete shop front, add lib, in other words make it as we go, will try and take some pics but very little time for that, Rick
 
Sounds like you will be ready for a holiday mate, just think of next Sunday and a few glasses of wine on the ferry,before you know it you will be in France!:clap

Don't bother about internet on the boat you have to pay and I think it's about 10£ for the crossing,:eek: just take picks and you can post them up when you get to ours,:thumbs
 
on the Brittany ferries website it says that the wifi is free.

you have to be in a public area tho, and i dont know how good this will be,:confused:

the wifi code is printed on the boarding card / ticket
 
They have obviously changed it then since I went last year, that's good :clap
hope its a good crossing :thumbs
