Has anybody got some experience with a faulty ECM in a 1998 Y61 2.8TD?
As you can read in two other threads my engine won't start and I just would like to exclude the ECM for the fault list.
Looking in the electrical diagrams the ECM regulates most of the engine parameters. It also controls the NATS immobilizer.
On my car the Tacho comes alive when cranking the car on the startermotor and the NATs red light on the dashboard goes out?
I would expect that if the ECM is faulty then at least the tacho would not come alive. However I might be wrong.
Is there any other indication when the ECM goes walkabout or is it a case of having it tested?
Thanks! :thumbs
