Fault codes

hi guys... had the magical EML light come on today, just read the codes using the paperclip method, got codes 14, 34, and 48!

What can i do to sort these out? seriously loosing faith in the truck, getting close to scrapping it!

14 Vehicle Speed Sensor
34 Knock Sensor
48 does not exist as far as I know but 47 Crankshaft Position Sensor

these could all be caused by 47 quite a common fault, need to check this one first & probably get a new sensor

48 is Accelerator pedal position (APP) switch/fuel injection
pump position sensor - circuit malfunction

crank sensor will be on top of the bell housing if Bosch and top front of timing cover if Zexel, if you are unsure which you have Bosch MAF = Bosch pump, pig to get to, Rick

Wouldn't jump the gun too soon, one thing could be causing lots of faults.

My veg oil heavy mix caused lift sensor and cps fault, just an example but you get the idea :thumb2

im zexel, they any easier?

yes easy to change but not so easy to source, does the motor run and rev high? Rick

if your motor is pre 2000 then the speed sensor is driven from the speedo clock which is cable driven so broke cable/bad drive gear, I have spares, Rick

my list says Knock sensor only applies to petrol motors but cannot find my good list, if it does mean lift sensor then it is only no 1 injector, but check for bad connections first as not a normal fail on Zexel it uses piezo, Rick
