Went into the local cop shop today to offer my 4x4 services, asked if I had trade/commercial insurance, of course I have not, so my offer was declined, elf and watsit pratts, Rick

So went playing in Hastings instead, great fun could not find an ungritted hill that I could not get up or down with ease, and we have some hills in Hastings, Rick

I think you have to be approved to assist emergency services. There should be a 4x4 response team in your area you can join. I'm the local responder for the Burnley borough

hi mucky pup - so are you Joe from NW4x4R then? Your guys did sterling work in West Yorks for us the other day, took the pressure off for a whiel to get the YL guys rested. I'll be sending my thanks through national later but they were so appreciated.

We've stood down at YL now to rest and prepare in case the weather takes a turn for the worst, we are still collectiing the statistics but deploymenst are in the order of 400 and total mileage will be in the region of 20,000miles - possibly more. Its been a very very busy week - I'm off to bed now - jus hope the phone doesn't go in the night or ealy morning, I think I've earn't a lie in.
