Hi All, Replaced my exhaust today Terrano 3.0 2003 with a full Milner system. Old exhaust the flexy had started to brake up and seemed to be causing a whistle around the 2500 rev mark which reading on here is quite common. New exhaust fitted off I go I have now upgraded to a two tone whistle :doh. Anybody any ideas.

Cheapo flexi!!!!!!!! 100% Rustic had this problem I think it was when he went to Kwik Fit

Ooooooooooooh the dreaded whistle but a two tone!. Lucky you.
Mines whistled since I've owned it but luckily only a single tone. From what I've read here, the only solution is to replace the downpipe again.
My solution is to turn up the radio but I guess you'd need earplugs [emoji55]

Went for the Milner exhaust after seeing positive things on here:confused: Any recommendations?

Check to see where it's whistling from...outlet of the exhaust or from one of the joints.

Whistle only happens when driving under load so short of strapping one of the children underneath while I drive along :augie Checked for leaks after fitting exhaust everything seemed fine.

Could it be the new exhaust has upped the back pressure in the engine and this has caused the turbo to whistle ??

Starting to wonder whether the turbo is at fault as I ran the car for a short time with the two back sections removed and when revved you could here the whistle. So guessing not back pressure related. I have a pressure gauge fitted and all seems well pressure wise.

Mine too whistled after wife had taken it to Kwikfit. Took it back and complained but they weren't interested. Chances are just a cheap poor quality exhaust assuming its not leaking of course.
