Engine turns over but wont start.

Just aquired a 1995 2.7maverick, the imobliser was playing up, so I thought I would remove it, we never take the keys out of the ignition so there is no need for imoblisers!!. The type I removed was the flat plastic key type that turned a little red light green before you could start it. the problem now is that it wont start at all now, it turns over but wont fire, I have rewired the fuel pump solonoid to the ignition switch thinking that would do it, but no luck. In the rear of the fuse box there is a single black wire that has been cut( not by me) but I cant find where the other end is, ther are a couple of electrical bits on the pump but they seem to have 3 wires going to them, but none of them are live.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anybody know where I could get a wiring diagram from before her indoors realises that I have knackered it.

hi there if it is a standard as part of the vehicle it is ground wire try touching it to a piece of metal on the car at the same time as turning the vehicle over

Thanks for the advice, found the offending wires and soldered them together, Sorted :smile:
