Hello
We have recently bought our Maverick and were over the moon as to what we got, good looking and low mileage car I had been thinking whats the catch, well I think I have now found it. I hope it's not too bad.
The engine management light comes on then goes off. I had a look in the Owner's Handbook (because I was stuck) and it says
"engine management (petrol engine only)" Illumination whilst the engine is running may indicate a fault in the engine management.
Also
Immobilisation system
if the indicator light flashes when the ignition is switched on, (which it doesn't) the immobilisation system will not be activated. Have the malfunction repaired by a Ford Dealer
Right can anyone help me its a Diesel why should the engine management light come on, the engine does stutter a little when the light comes on.
Is it something as simple as the car needs an oil change ( I hope)
I know a little about petrol cars but nothing about diesel so please be gentle .... Thanks in advance Nev
