I was out playing last night and not sure if it is related but the water on the roads were pretty deep and the engine light came on I noticed I had a loss of power. Today jumped into the Terrano and the engine seamed fine and pulled well and no engine light, about half an hours drive the light came on I lost power and wouldn't go off. Any ideas?

Look at downloads, see what fault you get

Need a paper clip and beable to count.

I have had a word on a mate of mine who has one of those plug in Snapon computer thingys and he is going to have a look at it tomorrow, but I am going to have a look to see if the air filter is wet tonight as it is a nice and easy job to check as suggested by davenclaire. Ta...

Dont need a plugin pc, just a paperclipand rewd the download section

yeah could be filter - i have had situations where a tiny bit of water has got sucked in, affecting the MAF.

may also be worth checking the dieselfilter drain plug.

I had the Terrano plugged into the Snapon machine and these faults came up

P1240
PO335/ crank sensor , which was reset by machine and didn't appear on next start up.
Needle lift sensor, what ever that is?

needle lift sensor is in side injector no 1 (the 1 closest to the rad) if it goes tits up is new injector:thumbs

Would you say fit a full new set or just the one? and any ideas what the codes mean? my mate couldn't tell me what the codes mean as the machine didn't tell him also looked in a book he had and nothing there either. :(

You need to do a resistance test on the wire on no1 needle lift sensor

Can't remember the value tho, its in workshop manual tho

Some come up on eBay but euro car parts do the injector also

I think there is 2 types

I don't have a manual unfortunately, I did have a disc but since moving house it has been lost :( . Any chance anyone could tell me the resistance value please?

Resistance: Approximately 105W [at 25°C (77°F)]
Search for the manual on this site.

Last post should read 105ohms could not find the right sym:dohbol

Thanks guys, I have been told to try some injector cleaner straight into the fuel filter so fingers cross that it helps if not I'll have to go back to plan A. Time will tell.

Running a little better but still gutless after trying injector cleaner,
I'm going to try and take the wire off the number 1 injector to see if that does anything before I commit to by a new one or get them cleaned.
Is it ok to take the wire off all will it have a hissy fit?
