If you buy an item from an eBay seller that clearly states "as new condition" what would you expect the condition of the item to be in. What the item is, is irrelevant. As new is what exactly?

Answers on a post card or sealed down envelope please :augie

Mate dont get me started as it appears my idea of "mint" is completly different to everyone else's....

Apparently mint is not what it used to be, ripped seats, cracked screen, and paintwork that has been put on with a hoover is now mint!

The biggest "new" scam is when people sell tyres, it is probably the spare, that has sat there for 10 years, they have the audacity to say it still has the bobbles on.

Scam...

To be fair Ebay do have a definition of New, and basically the only thing that does not need to be as new is the packing. So if you have got a problem, open a dispute. In the 3 cases I have had a dispute, I have always ended up with a full refund and been told to keep the goods.

As new has no meaning, does it?
Caveat emptor.

To me "as new" means just that, hardly used & as it came from the manufacturer.

I collect limited edition game consoles. I purchased one of ebay & the seller listed it as "as new condition" & little use, clearly not so. Both controllers have had quite a bit of use & the game that came with the console has a damaged case & the disc has slight scratches.
I look after my games & consoles & I couldn't list mine as being as new, but I could say very good condition. The one I received was not as good as mine.

Sadly its the way of the world these days mate, theres always somebody willing to take advantage of others and they dont care as long as they benefit.

didn't know you were into your games consoles Pete?

so am I, except I don't collect consoles, I go down the emulator road these days and have a couple of decent setups - looking to make a cabinet.

wanna buy an XBOX One, cheap?

How do Clive. Good to see you on here again :thumb2 :thumb2

How much for the Xbox matey?

Emulators.............. hmmmmm :D :naughty Can you do original Xboxes, I see there's quite a few on eBay.

no to original xbox. There is an emulator, but it only does Halo, so its pointless as you can already get a PC Halo that runs portable.

There is another Xbox emulator but it doesn't seem to work correctly. I don't think there will ever be an Xbox emulator because there are very few games that were exclusive for that machine....any that were, are released on other platforms...

If I remember, ill post up a video of my Launchbox setup (I have two Hyperspin setups but prefer Launchbox)

Many moons ago I made a games consol,

Pluged in tv, and had the sliding blobs for tennis ect..
