Driving in steam

My Mav pushes steam and antifreeze pong out of the vents when the heater is put onto hot. None comes out when on cold. Does it sound like the heater matrix has gone?

Yes when on hot position- otherwise fine. Have put K-seal in in seems to be K no seal!

Temp fine although have had wet in passenger footwell

If its more apparent when the heater is selected to hot, the chances are youve got a leaking heater matrix.

just seen the wet footwell comment you posted similar time :thumb2

definitely heater matrix/pipework or a very unlucky combination of faults

I'd look at the heater first :thumb2

I'd 2nd that with the wet foot well

Although that could also be a leaking sunroof :nenau if the hose is blocked, it runs down the outside of the pipe...

In all seriousness I had exactly the same on my sierras which were infamous for the matix knacking.

I dont know what the pipework/connectors are like on the terrano/mav or if theyre prone to leaking :nenau

heres how do to it, takes 5 mins im told...

run the truck to the local radiator repair place . or friendly plumber. and ask them to pressure test the matrix... easy to do . i did mine up to 1.5 bar and it leaked . k seal fixed it

but you can bypass it on the thermostat housing for now so you dont overheat

but id say def the matrix

five minuets to change the the heater Mr Zip? I read the manual and it sounded more like five DAYS....... Oh the sun has just come out here in Bournemouth, I'm off to the beach!

Having looked at repair link, think I'll order an army Greatcoat instead!
