Hi guys this is my first post and already i am asking for help.
I have a y61 2.8 trol and i am in need of an abs sensor for the drivers side. Is there any other places other than the stealers or breakers to obtain said item?

you could try to fix it, some times the wires snap.
just resolder them back..

have a search on here, loads about the abs sensors

As Zippy has advised the wires from the sensor often fracture, they can with care be repaired by soldering and heat shrink tubing etc...

Not sure about Patrols, but certainly on Terranos:
However do NOT try and remove the sensor from the vehicle.
I have been told it is likely to ruin the sensor in the process. Same goes for a replacement from a breakers; you will be lucky to get it off in working order!

Hi guys, thanks for replying. Just before christmas i had the front axle seals replaced and the garage decided to remove the sensors to replace some bearings. This is when the abs sensor was damaged. So sadly its not the wires, it is definatley the sensor its been damaged whilst removing.
Is it best to order a new sensor?

I shall approach the garage and see what they have to say as the seals have gone on the front axle again.

Would they have had to remove the sensors to gain access to replace the seals and bearings?

Cant see why they would but given the cost of a new one (£200-300 for the Terrano) I'd be talking to them about replacing or fixing the one they busted.
