thanking you in anticipation

pete

Pete I found the one that I took of a T2 recently as a non worker, put one on from the scrapper ad all OK, had a look inside the old one expecting to find burnt contacts, but nothing all looked as good as gold, intended to try it on my motor to see if I could work out what is wrong but have mislaid it again as soon as I find it I will check it out, I suspect a simple OS diode, if so easy fix, Rick

thanks mate , i hope so , its been kinda hot recently and im slowly cooking without being able to open my window ....air con needs regassing too

Pete try freeing window ,common fault sticking on runners needs silicon spray on rubbers to let glass slide up and down.

the duff one I have has the relays clicking up or down but window did not work, expected to find burn relay contacts but all sweet as a nut then before I could check it on my motor I went and lost it, still looking but there must be a work round, even if you lose the auto up/down function, Rick

well we now have a nissan main dealers in huddersfield :naughty , so just for a giggle i may " enquire " about availability and price of the afore mentioned item :augie:lol:eek:

Had to go to Nissan 1st at welshpool for mine £25 plus VAT as i tried all avenues arives tomorrow so hopefully all will be resolved . I cant understand though why only the passenger front window is operative surely the relay would affect all??????????????????????????????

just fixed mine tonight , sometimes just drivers window would'nt work. tested with multi-meter power getting to window motor , motor hot to touch .but would'nt budge , undid the three screws on back of the actual motor just enough to release cover and sprayed some wd 40 into recoil . now sorted at last.

The unit in the drivers door is only for the drivers window, it controls the auto up/down one touch function so it has a built in timer, Rick

As Solarman siad its for the drivers side only for the auto up and down, no other windows has that option so they dont have one fitted. I have the same problem with mine (And no Aircon) i found that banging it made it work for a while (Not in auto mode though) for up and down. BUT it did have a tendency to stop working just as it started raining or at the window for the drive in at Macky D's.

I have had more problems with this truck since i got it, but i have enjoyed sorting them out, so im not too bothered. However i have now been told the turbo could be on its way out as there is no movement on the acctuator after reving the engine.....iv got my eye on one on Ebay though :thumbs

I had trouble with mine too Briggie. I took the insides out of it and spotted a ring around one of the solders, showing the solder had broken....missed it the first time. So I took my 25 year old soldering iron and 2 mins later works brill. Had the same problem with my intermitant wipe...this turned out to be the same problem. So a quick go with the old iron on that too in the relay box under the wiper motor and perfect. :lol

Not a valid test unless you were on a rolling road under load, I have never seen the dump valve work off load, Rick
