Couldn't find any info/plate on it but online it says max air consumption is 700 litres per minute (7bar) which equals around 25cfm. According to Google :nenau

Yep much much bigger than you average home jobbie, Rick

Well it kind of worked, I could have made it work well if I had bought some brass fittings but when I went to my usual motor factors to buy a socket and rust treatment I saw one for 12 squids, no brainer really, I'll still put a vid up if u like banshee :thumb2.

Rick, my compressor only has a 24ltr tank but it's cfm rating is 9.5 at 8bar, which ain't too shabby, sandblaster I bought operates at various cfm max being 8 cfm so should work fine, I've seen compressor tanks for sale on ebay with no compressor so I may buy a bigger tank if I start using it more, if it works out economical compared to a new compressor that is.

You can reuse media if you sieve it & you don't use it to blast oily parts etc.
I have a pressure pot which holds around 2 bags of media it has a 6mm nozzle which requires 80 cfm + a bit extra for the air fed mask.
I have used calcium silicate to blast oak & a fine grade shot for blasting panels I have also used crushed glass which seems to be all the rage with blasters at the moment but I didn't find it flowed that well it also breaks on impact so isn't very aggressive or abrasive.

Kiln dried sand should not be used for blasting.

Yeh I plan on capturing what I can and reusing it, why would you not use kiln dried sand?, I have never done and blasting before, cheers :thumb2

Sand generally contains silica which could lead to silicosis.

yes I had heard that, but as a long time breather of Asbestos dust of the brake lining kind and for the last 30 years of the cement Asbestos roof sheet kind (grinding cutting etc) I have not as yet developed asbestosis or methil y whatsit as these kinds of the product are not harmful, there is so much bull sh*t spread about I just do what I want when I want, always have always will, cannot stand all this elf and safety rubbish, kids need to learn to climb trees and fall off cos then they know it hurts, and will learn from that etc etc, Rick

First of all you are absolutely right all I am saying is fine grade shot is more effective so works out cheaper & as far as anyone knows doesn't affect your health.

What actually is "fine grade shot" and where do you get it? Rick

Key abrasives 01302 714517. Anglo scott abrasives 01942270729. Stacey processing ltd 01629 825188.

Last lot I bought from Anglo Scott but the other 2 are good companys.

Thanks for that, I will try one of those if only for the reason that if it is more efficient then I may be able to use less air as I struggle with the two compressors that I have, Rick
