Only way i can see is to cut and add some metal to this area but will probably effect how the whole part lines up at the bottom.
Would have to change the angle slightly on the upright but that could effect how it lines up to the door pillar:nenau
It's a damn strong section there but had thought of a cut along the gutter line. Then a bit stretch and squish.
Defo no rash decisions on this bit as I want it to look factory or as most people say, to look Elty
I wouldn't go as far as saying my work is that good but appreciate the comment.
I'm watching with great interest on this thread as i have a terrano i want to chop into a pick up and i also want to use the very rear of the roof to keep the factory shape of the cab.
No doubt I'm going to face a similar problem when cutting and shutting it back together :lol
2020 and we're still chopping and shopping :lol :lol
I looked at a few ute chop threads and it looks like a few have maybe gone for a more functional than neat weld and then tidied it with filler dude
Very impressive Makeitfit! This is a thread I will most certainly be following.
I remember you doing a major rebuild chassis job years back. Do you still have it ?
