I got my T2 MOT'ed today and when I arrived to pick it up, the mechanic was in the pit under the car looking puzzled. At first glance he reckoned there was a brake fluid leak - eek!
On closer inspection, it would appear that it is in fact a minor fuel leak. Above the gear box - peering into the engine from the driver side there are a couple of solid fuel lines (I assume fuel) - they look a bit like air con line unions. Well, anyway one is a bit moist so I assume its leaking.

This could be due to my previous exploits with veg oil? not done it in ages.

Easy fix or am i doomed?

Cant see it being from the vege oil.

Could it be from the injector breather/leakage hoses or whatever theyre called and blowing back ? mine leaking a little bit and rustproofing the engine for ages. It was very hard to see where it was coming from , looked like that area dripping from the cross member, until it started pissing out :lol:lol

Not sure - I'll try and take some pics tomorrow, its not 'loads' and does look like a bit of an oil leak more than anything else (except its diesel!).

Could be O rings pending on the age of the vehicle, I had to replace mine due to the low sulphur content in the diesel as the pump was the older type not designed to take the difference in the fuels we have now.

possible leak

Right - managed to get a photo - its an awkward location to get to.
I also managed to get a spanner over it and it was a bit loose - managed to get a 1/4 turn on to it - maybe this will fix it (hope hope).

Its a 98 - so getting on a bit - not sure if this counts as 'old' though? How far back do they go?
