diesel filter change ans will not start

Hi have just fitted new diesel filter to my 03 3.0 and it will now not start have primed it and still no joy .
Battery is now flat so am charging up .:doh

Did you remove the two hoses to change it? I had to when I did mine and it took a little bit of starting. I also filled the new filter up with fuel before fitting as per the club download, which I can see would help.

You could try taking a hose off at a time of to see if fuel is present i.e the pumps working.

Years ago we used to bleed the injectors on deisel forklifts at work. I am not sure if you can do this on the terrano engine though.

is the fuel primer top of the filter getting progressively harder to push? It should be.
If not air getting in somewhere.

yhanks for rply yes the primer goes solid after several pumps will try again once the battery charged

Been and tried it again and it fired so should be ok once the battery can give it a good kick
