Daylight LED?

I am assuming that you know the wires for the power feed, the lights and the earth so you are talking about the white cable marked Headlight / Dashboard.

As my relay is mounted on both vehicles on the inner wing panel near the headlights I decided to find the headlamp wiring and connected the white cable to the wire that powers the dip beam. As the relay power is very small you can either use a Scotch Lock or if you prefer cut through the wire and use a connector to join in the white cable. On my BMW I used a Scotch Lock and then taped up with decent self sealing insulating tape. On the Jeep there was plenty of space so I used a crimped male/female connector with two cables on the male side and the female on the dipped beam feed. Again I tapped up the whole connector with the self sealing insulating tape.

Thank you - this gives me an idea of how I could do this. I will sort this out and hopefully I'd be able to report the results!

To report, I managed to attach daylight LED to my Terrano. My Terrano's face looks a bit more modern?

This is from Amazon, just 8.99 quid - but then it is fairly bright;

I used only double-sided tape and Sugru to fix on the bumper - a gap between headlight and the bumper. I will need to see how long this will last where it will have water, dirt, wind all;

Having spent more time means I couldn't have time to look for ODB II socket.....

Life Span ?

The pics look good !

It will be interesting to see how long your LED's last my first set faulted quite quickly they were a round lamp unit. Like these.

My current set lasted a few months and one lamp failed had it replaced under warranty. Hope these last a reasonable time they do seem very well constructed.

The lamps on my BMW have worked fine since I fitted them they are similar to these. They have been working since August 2016 but the vehicle has done less than 2k miles against the Jeep's 12k or so miles

Had one relay failure but that was my fault due to current overload, wiring and relay side now faultless.

What is the adapter on the battery for ?

I put the adapter on the battery in the end as I couldn't find anywhere to attach it to...currently I'm seeing how long this will stick on.

Not seen an adapter before what does it do ?

Sorry, I said "adapter", but it's a junction box where the cables from LED and the cables from automatic controller are connected. (It's waterproof junction box - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N30QTDA )
