Does any one know how many bulbs are used to light the heater/fan display in the centre consul, one of mine has blown and I noticed that the A/c,heated rear window buttons aren't lighting up.
I have removed the dash and found the bulb that's blown but just wondering if there are more than 2

Ordered a new bulb from the main dealer today, there are only 2 by the way:D:D
bloody expensive though

ive got some white and some blue led dash replacements :naughty

Yeah, I have looked at them on ebay, but the ones I needed are bloody weird looking things, there about 40mm long led bulbs and cost £7.50 each.
amazing how expensive plastic is these days:confused::confused:

Are they the ones that sit behind the clocks?, the ones I need, sit behind the heater control and are like no other bulb that I have seen before.

give them a ring , he used to be a member on here

Can u put a pic of the bulb on? I have a heap of terrano bulbs that might fit:thumb2

First check your fuses, you may have one that has blown
When my bulb blew, this is how I got access and changed them.

You have to remove the gear knob surround,to do this get a wide flat blade and prise up the silver/wood surround, you can leave the knobs on,
this accesses 2 screws at the bottom of the fascia
remove the ashtray and you have 2 more screws
now you need to remove the radio, I used 2 pieces of rod that went into the holes on the radio and push, this allows the radio to pull forward, no need to unplug and you will see 2 more screws.
Now you need a flat blade, I used a scraper to prize the fascia away from the dash and you will be able to see the back of the heater control.
the bulbs are white 40mm long things that cost approx £7 each.
Hope this helps.

Ok, I found that if one of these bulbs blows, it will make the display quite dull, it's not a hard thing to check.
If you get stuck, just shout:thumb2

ta fireboby will have a look later after ive looked at my turbo boost fault ! do the leds just full out and new ones push in ? think i had same prob with an old 98 terrano i had and seem to rember nissan told me you had to buy the whole board but might be diff in my 2005 model will look later

Does anyone know what socket the instrument buld is?
Have a couple that is not working and want to change all to LED bulbs.

Led`s

hope this will help some, i replaced my heater / blower bulbs with 2 leds, blue ones, i kept the old long white bulb holders, took out the old bulb then drilled a hole right through the center, slide led cable through and just connect the wires from both leds to the cigar lighter illumination and earth, i flattened the end of the led carefully to give it a wide illumination, also i used 3mm leds they fit perfect:D gonna do the fag lighter next:clap
If i knew how to upload a photo i would show them lit up:doh
