Back in a bit :D

Hi, I know it’s double your budget but the Nextbase 312 GW is what I have and is superb, you can transfer your videos direct to your phone via WiFi. It’s easy to setup but make sure you buy a nextbase micro sd card with it as I bought a couple from eBay and they didn’t work, once I went back to Halfords and purchased the correct one it’s been fine for a year now. Mine is permanently fitted in the truck and switches on when I turn the ignition on. It automatically locks any video so you can’t overwrite it if you have an incident which includes braking hard. You can get a cheaper nextbase model but it doesn’t have the WiFi facility.
Hope this helps

Nextbase 312gw is the best i have found good build quailty i have wasted money on the cheaper ones buy a good one from the start mine was 84 quid of amazon:thumb2

Totally agree the cheap ones are pants

I’ve used Rexin in both single camera and also the dual cam version in the link below. So far been very reliable and have them in all 5 cars. Struggle to read reg plates unless daylight and reasonably close. Most I’ve seen seem very similar to that. If it detects a jolt it saves the previous 10 seconds and until switched off into a folder that doesn’t get over written. Also very discreet too.

Also remember a dash cam can incriminate as well as vindicate too. Police do have a right to confiscate memory card if needed too.

A secondary manual switched supply is handy with any camera so that you can leave it turned on with ignition off. You’d need a hard wiring kit for this really but a useful idea.

Thankyou please ☺ I'd kind of narrowed it down to the Next Base ones so that's a good start.
I'll have a spy around tinterweb as I don't buy off Amazon. Bloody slave drivers

Agree with that, the founder is now the richest guy in the world, what kind of shit is that when the workers are paid next to nothing!!!!!!!!! Rick

Guys, I used the amazon link to show the dashcam model. It’s available all over not just amazon.

Just got the Nextbase 312 for my mum from Argos, and Maplins were doing it for the same price, with a small SD card free.

We have the 412's in mine and Suz's car, and have SanDisk 32Mb cards in them with no issues. Had them for at least 2 years now.

Thinkware 770 F&R cameras

I have the above and had it fitted by AVR Mobiles.
Professional service with all leads completely hidden.
Good night vision with modes for when parked up from front & rear cameras.
No screen you view via your mobile and this way check actual front & rear views.
Has a sold state hard drive and a removable mini SD card for incident storage.
Gives you speeding camera zones etc as you are driving and includes lane guidance if you want to activate it and some other tricks.
Automatically saves all incidents that you can download onto phone or laptop via Wi-Fi.
Front Camera has a fixed mounting plate but you can remove the camera from the base plate and disconnect and remove it if you want to.
Fits neatly between the top of the screen and the rear view mirror mounting slightly offset from centre.
When the screen freezes at night the lenz at the front remains completely clear, the rear camera less so.
When parked up you get a blue LED at the rear and a Night Rider Scan Bar at the front to give a visible deterrent for thieves.
Automatically saves all incidents that you can download onto phone or laptop via Wi-Fi.
Not cheap I paid £345 fitted.
When the Jeep goes I will remove it for use on next vehicle.

I am between this and the BlackVue 750s (2CH)... I've had the Blackvue 650s (2CH) and got on fine with that.
