The workshop manual shows two different torques i.e 95 - 110 on nuts and bolts, is this a min and max or is it something else. I always assumed that there would only be one torque setting?

For example the top nut on the shock absorber shows a torque of 16 - 22 Nm.

This means the torque should be in the range from 16 to 22 Nm
ie 20 will be ok as well as 16 or 17 Nm or 21or 22Nm

Just make sure you are using the right units on the torque wrench settings, as a torque in foot pounds will be totally on a different scale.

It's great that you have a torque wrench, there are too many people that over tighten nuts and bolts, to make sure, and this can create stress leading to premature failure.

A major issue is wheel nuts, often over tightened, especially on alloy wheels.

I find it's best to torque them up to the correct torque, then check them a few hundred miles later, again with the torque wrench.
