CV noise?

ON full lock to the right, It sounds from the N/S as though the CV joint is clucking but in 2WD hubs wont be locked so the drive shaft doesn't turn so!!! :lol: the noise can't be the CV :?:

After reading the workshop pdf about "Steering Stops" do they sound like a CV joint on it's way out

If none of the above any ideas what to starting checking :?:

Just grease all 4 steering stops and your problem should be solved.
You need to grease them say every 6 months or when you hear them clunk.

8O wow I would have never thought of them, don't ya just love forums....

The car's now in mi garage getting it's once over now the mk1 troopers fixed up and ready to break again at kirton :lol:

I've also noticed that the bump stops are hanging off are they dealer only Milner don't list em)

Siweb Quite a few have lost bump stops on here,dealer price £85 .mines been missing for 18 months now just be wary offroad.

My front bump stops have been missing for at least 3 years and been through MOT's like that.

it's my rear ones, well that i have noticed so far anyway...

I was thinking for when i pull the trailer with all the extra weight on but £85 8O

hello siweb.
i tye rapped mine on 2 yrs ago and they are still there and passed mot twice.
front ones i just drilled and bolted them on .bolt pulls down a little was and i havent banged them yey even over stannage
