Hi guys!
I've known this forum surfing the internet looking for some tutorial about brake disk replacement.
I found a great PDF with the whole procedure with lots of helpful pictures.

I was wondering if you have something like that for CV boots replacement!
I have the service manual, of course, but I'm trying to collect as many information as possible.

Is there a download section in the forum, with workshop tutorials or something like that?

THX
Marco

that's brilliant!

thank you so much.

No problem.
If you look at the top right of the page you will see quick links.
Hit that and it opens a drop down menu with loads of useful info, links etc:thumb2

And if it's not in there, shout up and I'm sure someone will remember a thread on it from a previous occasion

For my two penarth, stretch boots and stuck together boots are crap and not worth the effort, joint off the shaft and do it proper is the way forward, Rick

He's not wrong, just depends how decent of a job you're willing to do and how long you want to spend at it :nenau

Stretch boots are poo. The end.
NB on the terrano ones there's a proper moulded shape to suit the flanges. Anything else will be a sloppy condom in no time:lol

Fun Fact

Blueprint ones are almost £30 a boot because of that shape!!!!

I bought Blueprint boots, but i didn't pay so much! I think 10€ each, but i need to check.

You're talking about the inner shape for the tripod, right? or i misunderstood?!?

Today new rotors, brake pads and some caliper components should arrive, and i hope i'll have enough time on sunday to do some work.

Here we are!
yesterday I worked on the first axle, the left one.
It's the only with a broken bood. I suppose it was still equipped with the original nissan boots because on the major diameter there was a solid steel ring instead of a clamp (tie, zip wrap.. what's the correct word?!)

a lot of grease, a lot of time spent to disassemble the axle, but eventually i'm quite satisfied!

Blueprint boot on the differential side, stark boot on the wheel side (i wanted both blueprint boots, but i made a mistake placing the order!)

here's the final result.

of course a lot of cleaning of the axle and the car before mounting it back!

yeah, i'm sure about that!
it took me about 2,5-3 hours to have the shaft on my hands, and about 20 mins to get it back in place..

i'm sure tor the other shaft i'm going to be faster!

thanks guys, it's been really satisfying to see the final result of this dirty job!

Excellent job, like makeitfit I have changed so many I lost count, but so far done 2 CVJs on the Patrol, Rick
