I ran new veg oil 40/60 oil/diesel. Engine noise dropped, power increased and there were no side effects. Didn't even change the filters... However, can't find cheap new oil!
All seems to be about £1 per litre. LPG is cheaper, hence I also have an LPG Maverick!

Hi Redboofie, thats the ratio I'm running mine on with no problems (that I'm aware of anyway :? )
Had a chat with a bloke at the Fire Brigade workshop and they previously serviced all the council vehicles which ran on 100% old oil no problems but he reckoned using a mix gave the best all round benifits.
Keep your eyes peeled on those Aldi flyers that come through the door. They do silly deals sometimes but overall Makro if you can blag a card isnt bad. 20litres (regular price) cost me just under £18 ie 90p a litre so even compared to the new low round here of £1.17 a litre at Morrisons for diesel I'm saving 27p a litre or £1.22 a gallon.
Anywhere knocking that off at the pumps would have qeues out of the door :lol:
Its actually costing me less a week for to run the Terrano than my 2.0 petrol mondeo 8)
