Confusion from nissan dealer

Hi there, I own a mistral 2.7td lwb its on a n plate, about a year back had a problem with window wipers sticking on and after consulting the forum it suggested cleaning the relay inside the wiper control box, did this and it worked a treat, anyway its starting to stick again and after looking at it again t seems the relay is getting a bit tired. I went to a local Nissan dealer and asked price for a new one and they came out with the usual rubbish about " o its an import and o the electrics are totally different to a uk spec vehicle" but other people i have spoken to say they are virtually the same apart from the spec was far better than the uk models and they say they are built in the same factory. Could any one advise on who is telling the truth! I shall be looking to source a good second hand one if parts are the same as terrano....Many thanks....Happy Ting Tong Owner! If you took your chassis number in they could sort it for you even if they had to contact nissan to get the info. If your lucky the relay could have a part number on it, 2 sets of 5 digits starting with a 2 probably.

If i can get a good second hand one that would be great. I dont mind paying new if i got to but its just a pain when you get that sort of answer from a main dealer....thanks again....

your not alone getting rubbish from dealer look in heater plug thread he was told "only nissan ones will work" by his dealer!
