I have today (at last) got my rose jointed compression rods fitted
The old ones had chewed their way through the chassis again even with new bushes :doh
Running big wheels puts a large amount of strain and wear on stuff when bashing it about offroad
So I modified the ends of the comp rods to take a female 5/8" x 5/8" ball joint.
Basically cut the old thread off and tapped the rest to suit the rose joint
Next I had to cut off the old comp rod bushes and braketry off the car
Much harder than I thought and had to have them torched off :surrender
Got a mate to weld on the new brackets to the chassis. There was very little room due to the torsion bar
From underneath I hope you can see now how the rose joint does it's work better than the bloody rubber poo I cut off
So hopefully my steering geometry will stay somewhere near the car now :lol
I'll find out tomorrow as I'm going offroading for a couple of days "Testing" :naughty
