hi, all just wondered if someone could help with this one ive got a patrol 2.8 gr se only use it it in four wheel drive at the weekend to get round a field but since buying it around 3 months ago on two seperate occations i encountered a rubbing noise shortly after setting of from home followed shortly after by a clunk from the nearside front wheel and then all is well the two occations where about a month apart and allways in two wheel drive wondered maybee if it was anything to do with the hubs or something

also could anyone tell me if there is a speed limit to which you can drive these patrols in 4 wheel drive just in case i forget to change when coming of the field one day many thanks all

I'm not sure about Patrols but with T2 Autohubs you have to reverse a few feet to release the hubs, may be it has something to do with that.

that sounds like your hubs have not dis-engaged,so try reversing 6-8ft and see if that works.
