I bought a set of Mistral Folding mirrors from Peasgood, so im starting this thread to document the process of fitting and making them work, if indeed they do fit!

ill be requesting electrical advice no doubt, so any help with regards the wiring will be most helpful. I currently have chrome electric mirrors, so i expect the existing wiring for that will suffice, but i figure extra wiring is involved for the open/close function as there is a switch...

keep you posted!

You may well find that the loom is already enabled for that function :sly
They're a doodle to fit anyway so maybe there's an unused wire on the multi plug :augie
Enjoy :thumbs

If you had been in today to sign for them you would have them by now. :D
I cut the plug off with as much loom still attached as possible. By comparing the wires still on the switch you should be able to easily see if it is simply plug and play.
I am sure you already know this but your loom plugs straight in to the back of the switch. Take the plug out of the switch and plug your own in. I left it all as one as i thought it may help you work out which wire did what.

no worries, mate, Heidi was in so I have them! going to have a brew and some cake then investigate the wiring...!

thanks also, they look brill!

Clivvy just ask if you need a hand and I'll nip over to help.

Jim

cheers Jim, I may just end up needing some technical assistance, we shall see, hoping to check the plug tonight but it depends how much i have to take apart!

ok, just had a very quick look at the switch for starters. wont be a plug and play straight swap which i expected.the folding mirrors have 9 wire, where mine has i think it was 7 or 5...

I havent checked the actual mirrors yet, but on the mirror loom, only 5 or six wires go into that so not sure how that will compare, so it looks like i will need some electrical wiring help from the gang if possible!
:bow
