this is all fantastic, thanks everyone! Rick that's just the kind of insight i am after, Nissan 4x4 members you are brilliant :thumb2

I've been wathcing a few hitching and unhitching or trailers clips on you tube, it appears your average trialer has two electrical plugs and two air lines for brakes

what would happen if you forgot to connect an air line and still towed the trailer?

did all trailers back then have a parking brake or did you have to chock the wheels.

please correct me if i'm wrong.

1 is right side
1 is left side
1 is back up
1 is electrics
:thumbs

so am i right? there are two hoses (suzies) one left, one right and two electric plugs, one for a back up?

so disconecting one hose would leave brakes ,locked on one side?

this is all research for a book, in case you wondered what i was doing :thumbs

:lol :thumbs

You can get more suzzies on specialist tractor units i.e. tankers, Cat 1,2,3 :thumbs
