I wish they were.

The bottom ones, easy to get to, the top ones not so much. (I should be thankful that there's a captive nut on one side!) :lol

Had a quick try with of the front wheel today to determine how much inner arch we will need to remove.

The offset is perfect... Looks awesome!

Although I'm still disappointed with the Pedders lift at the minute... I think that I will measure all the parameters and send them an email.

The website claims measuring from the bottom rim of the wheel (On a 16" diameter) th the arch, the front should measure 710mm and the back, 685mm... We're nowhere near that!

I fear you wont get anywhere with it Jay, the always worm their way out of stuff like this with smallprint and T&C's :( Good luck though pal!!!

The new wheels and tyres look awesome, get it on some twisty bits and report back boyo :thumb2

It does look a but snug in there still

There was a member on here who had loads of grief with a peddars lift kit for his path finder.
Buzz was his name.
He ended up driving to one of their fitting centres to get it sorted.
At the end of the day if they claim it's supposed to be one height and it's not then surely you have every right to complain.

Nissan say wheel arch to centre of hub for the Patrol, this would make more sense as it removed wheel diameter from the equation, Rick

I agree Rick.

So I took all my measurements with the original Suspension from the centre of the hub, and then again from centre with the new kit on. (It fell short from the 44.5mm claimed by 10mm on the rear and nearly 15mm on the front... Reckon that would really help me out with the wheels scrubbing when they turn!)

Here's Pedders stupid measure guide!

I will take it up with them!

I have always had good customer service from them in the past.

To be fair dude, that works fine if you're running 16" rims (like in the diagram) as it's still measuring constant to constant :nenau

Have to admit the springs on my shorty measure up correctly.

Yeah, they measure up great on the Patrol!

The back ones on the X-Trail measure upright, but the front ones seem low.

Spoke to Pedders today... They were as helpful as they could be, but no real resolution.

They did say that the measurement on their website was a typo, and shouldn't read 710mm for the front and it should be more like 690mm. (Which is a bit closer to what I had and kinda makes sense that the car should sit evenly all round)

They suggested that the coils could be the wrong way round, and that I should check them. (The drivers side front should stand 7mm taller out of the box)

I new that I had them the right way round, but thought I'd check and rule it out completely. :nenau

Since I had them off I thought I'd test out a theory... The shoulder of the shock absorber sits quite far down the thread in comparison to the standard suspension... I figured if I extend that with 8x 3mm M12 SS washers then I would gain an extra 24mm of lift because it wouldn't compress the coil down as much. :naughty

With the strut top back on, it was time to test out my theory...

It didn't work as well as I had planned! :doh

I suppose the coil will still compress under the weight of the car to a given point. So this 24mm spacer actually netted me just under 10mm. :(

So at the moment, those big wheels are still rubbing a little.

Actuall strut spacers will be the only way to go as it has no relevance to the coil or the shock absorber.

You're not wrong!

Might have to be strut & coil spacers for this one!

Indeed! Very good! :lol:lol

What you got infotainment wise planned Jay?

And more to the point, why is Claire not updating her own damn project thread!!!???

I bet she's got you fitting all the parts as well hasn't she :lol

The car has surround cameras, and I fear that the connection to the factory unit will be in a very specific plug or loom that wont connect to any aftermarket units.

It's something I will look into next year I reckon.
