Anyone remember the 'Wall' incident I had on a laning trip in Derbyshire with our 'Sniffer' back in May ?
Well you'll all be pleased to know the 'good old british police force' have come true again and decided to 'to take no further action'.
At long last.

So lets hear it for 'greenlaning' & good old 'British justice'.

I was just wondering tho how our GLAss members feel about the situation ?
Although the lack of comments from them could quite possibly reflect their thoughts.

Accidents do and will happen chaps. Even to the best of us.

Lessons 2b learnt

I spose out of all this there must be at least one lesson 2b learnt ?

1. Just because three Nissan Navara's can fit thru a gap doesnt mean you can. Especially when your Trol has 35 inch BFG muds on.

2. If your going to have an incident in the middle of nowhere, preferably do it when the farmer isnt standing right next to you.

3. If you do have an incident and cause damage to property (dry stone wall), call the police and wait for them to appear before you carry on with your journey.

4. Even if the said farmer wants to cast a million diseased cockroaches on your kids and take you to court, offer him help.

5. Never give up hope on British justice even if it has let you down before.

to be honest i dont know how the navaras got through without any damage as i know that lane well.its a tight squeeze in a standard terrano.the tree kindly folds your mirror in for you and you are scrabbling up the wall without even realising it.will keep that lane for dog walking from now on:thumbs

Sounds like the very same place bud.

As Ive said b4 tho, I would have bin ok but for the bottom of the wall and my tyres.

The said tree actually moved my snorkel inwards too and bent the wheel arch protection bar.
Very nasty little spot plus it didnt help with the old Troll guarding the spot and shoving his stick in & out of my face chanting "see you in court" continuously.

I think tho the reason the Navara's may have scrapped thru, other than the obvious skillful driving on their part, may have been the fact that their tyres did not have the side gripping studs as mine do have ?

Just a theory but highly likely I think.
