I wouldn't, I don't need any more encouragement to go and live in the country in a Caravan somewhere with my Terrano :naughty
You are a strange complicated little man.
But we like ya!

I do have a soft spot for a decent cav, gsi man myself but I'd like to own a turbo at some point.
Not a fan of the problem renowned ecotec though unfortunately.
Looks a tidy example though dude :thumb2
Have you done the cam sensor? Really common failure on them you have to cut old ones wire in order to get them out and the new one comes with longer wire as you have to route them differently as won't go through original hole as fitted with engine out of the car from new. Nice looking motor and with the best wheels I had 3 cavs back in the day and always made sure they were around k reg as had the super fast clutch change system. You could do them in 20 mins and all you did was remove road wheel on that side a few covers pop some clips on pull a rod and it fell out, new clutch came compressed with clips and pop it back in best design ever id love another cavvy
That cam sensor doesn't sound like a very nice job![]()
Also the 2 litre ne 8v engine if cambelt broke just slap on another and off you go. I've done that a few time on side of a road too for a few back in the day
That's nice to know hope it applies to 1.8 8 valve.
Cracking motor Banshee, what are you going to do with it. Mod it or keep it original for Sunday afternoon trip out.
It's going to be tidied up as it was standard from the factory and then sold
I'd love to keep it but space and funds say no!! :doh
It would have been more gutting that it wasn't even running and was weeks from ending up in the scrap yard near where I work, I got wind of it and intervened!!!Oh man that's gutting isn't it:doh
