If you can remove my starter through the top you can keep my truck
It's like Tetris mate, it trook me 5 mins to get the bolts off but about 30 mins to wrestle it out, you will not get it out from above, it must come out from below
yeah i took intercooler off & undone any cable clamps in the area, (every 1/2 inch helps) as advised earlier tie a bit of string on as you may want to pause between fits of swearing, mine came up narrow end first. think i removed a bolt for the dipstick tube too just to move that a bit ? & dont forget to keep the plasters handy, putting the new one in was a lot quicker
have got a new (sencond hand) one to go in, but i will be attempting to clean out grease, etc the old one to keep as a spare
