central locking

central locking has stopped working on my 96 maverick :nenau

if you lock it with the key you can then unlock it with the remote but will not lock from the remote, indicators flash both on unlock and lock

any ideas chaps

took mine apart and did each in about 10mins

if the indicators flash when the remote is pressed for lock , doesn't that rule out the remote ? or is there something i am missing ?

Agreed, If both remote buttons cause the indicators to flash then you probably need to look elsewhere.

There is a pretty thorough diagnostic mode for the TCU which controls most of the locking/alarm stuff in the manual ref: EL182/3.
Simple enough to run through and check all of the door switches etc.

looks like you were right lacroupade , as i been out in the maverick tonight for about an hour with the heater full on , when i got back tried the central locking and all is working ok now:thumbs

if you have air con, run it alongside you heater on full to dry the air out a bit that might be the problem,excess moisture in the cab freezing :thumb2

Iv got the same problem, it started to day.

I have fixed the hand brake by taking the consol out and ajusting it there, dont know if i have unplugged anything accidentaly.

Any ideas :nenau
