I amongst many others have named my car. It's called Mother cos my late old mums name, No She wasnt called Mav or even Maverick, her first name was Ford :lol
The letters on my number plate CGB were her initials, no I didn't buy it for them but was a happy coincidence.

Have you named your car and what made you choose the name?

my car is called sally,

sheilas car is called wendy

all cars are female because ...

they are pretty to look at

expensive to maintain

need a regular service :naughty

quite often break down when you least expect it

and the only way to get anywhere is to put your foot down

Well we call the Maverick:- "Mav" Took ages to come up with that. :thumbs

We call the wife's Citroen:- "Pablo" :nenau

Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso known as Pablo Ruiz Picasso

Because it's a Picasso..... :doh :doh

My Father called his Discovery many names over the years, none that I could put into print though. :lol

depends if its behaving or not, if i'm having to work on it, depending on the job will determine the appropriate swear word lol

Well I must be really odd because have never felt the need to call it anything other than what's on the name badge at the back. To be honest, I don't understand why people give their cars names. Unless they also have other names for their fridges, washing machines, televisions, and all their other inanimate objects. Why stop at the car? You could have Timmy the telly,Wendy the washing machine, Freddy the freezer. I can just picture the look on peoples faces when you say " I'm just off to pop this huge load into Wendy, won't be long":D:D

Hoover is a manufacture's name but it has now become a house hold name as people say "to hoover the carpet", to be correct they should say "to vacuum the carpet".

Now if you can invent a product whose name ends up in the dictionary, then you have made it.

People now say to " Google" something.. etc
They tried it with bread when they came out with the slogan, "Don't say brown, say Hovis"

Many others I guess, :nenau

OR ARE THERE :augie
