Hello From Aberdeen

Looking at buying a 2004 D22 2.5 pick up...108,000 on clock. Dont know SH etc as yet. In short first foray into Nissn, can you give me some very quick pointers as to what to look out for, after all, no better place than to ask the experts / owners

ps...is it an Isuzu engine?

Many thanks in advance

Kelt

Hi Kelt, welcome to the best 4x4 site for all things Nissan.
I think the D22 is better known as the Nissan Navara. I could be wrong though...
I know that there were originally a few engine problems with some models, but looking at that mileage, it looks like it has missed your model, or it has had a replacement part or overhaul.
What engine do you have in it, as some Navaras were later fitted with a replacement engine from the Terrano.

Best regards,
Rustic

Banshee's link is a good guide to leave well alone on this one. Look for a better engine in this powerful truck. David.

Nice one Banshee, I've come across lots of bad reports regarding the Navara, but this is the bee's knees!
Even my daughter & I have had 2nd thoughts of changing her very unreliable (as per normal?) 2004 Discovery for a Navara. At least the Disco has been fixable at a reasonable price.......so far.
Better the devil you know.......
