Bumper and Bull Bar compatibility ?

Would someone kindly tell me if the bumper and bull bar of the type fitted to the patrol in the 'photo will also bolt on to my later, 1997, Y60 Patrol or would I need to modify them ? Many Thanks !

P.S. I've only used this 'photo to illustrate the design of bumper I mean. The bumper I may be buying is from another vehicle and not the one in the picture.

Will depend on dimensions and mounting points etc but I wouldn't expect it to just fit straight on, probably need some modding.

You can make it fit with a welder and angle grinder but it will never look right, MQ leaf sprung trucks wheels are alot further forward compared to GQ Y60 so the wrap around will look short. Ive just bought a front winch bumper and rear hd bumper for my y60 from poland direct for around £600. You will struggle to find a second hand one for a y60.. Sadly the y60 is all but gone from the uk now so not much aftermarket stuff available so you have to shop overseas. Was going to do a build thread of mine on here but not many people interested in patrols so havent bothered. i dont visit here very often now as its not very busy with truck stuff..

Daeme, The bull bars that I'd been offered are a long way away with no opportunity to examine them before payment. I'll take your advice and wait until some Y60 bars come along that won't need modification. Cheers !

Wow ! I'm very impressed. Having some bars custom made is one option I'm considering. If I do go down that route I'll certainly keep you in mind. Thank you.

Yeah there a few of us on here including me that would find that interesting.
Never owned a Y60 but used to drive both the 4.2 lwb and 2.8 swb regularly as they where our works tow vehicles at my old workplace :thumb2

Completely agree with the others! Get a thread started asap. Some may not own Patrols (yet :naughty) but its reading other peoples threads that gets the juices flowing and helps with confidence to get out there and tinker...
