Hi,

My dad has just put me some shiny new discs and pads on the front. He dropped the wheels off the back to check the drums and found that one of my bump stops is hanging on for its life and the other has already left us!

I have done a search on line and these dont seem very easy to get hold of!

Does anyone know anywhere to order these from?

I do need to replace them as we use the truck to tow, which is when they obviously come into play!

Thanks!

front bump stops

jusy thought i would let you know for the front bump stops i sed ford transit sliding door bump stops , available in 2 sizes

I think they are very expensive from nissan, I got mine from a breaker on ebay. They are bonded on and do fall off. I used heavy duty cable ties to secure mine. regards bri

I tried Milners for mine, they couldn't supply them and for wanted around £80 + vat! For the front I bought some Ford Explorer bump stops from ebay for just over £8

They are expensive new, But I have heard of people cleaning the metal and then just tiger sealing it back on as this is basicly how they are held on from new anyway. This is what I plan to do when I have time, With a few big zip ties.

Far as I am aware milners do not sell these.

Looked on milners and no go! I need rear ones. I assume front ones are present and correct as they didnt come up in conversation. If they are expensive I will order a salvage op on one thats hanging on! But need to find one as one has departed! Will start ringing scrappers!

Bump stops

If its not fallen off you can stick it back on with Tiger Seal then its as good as new !

Well, i rang Nissan - just because i though my heart needed to pump a bit faster and i needed a bit of hysterical laughter - and at £76 EACH i wasnt dissapointed!!! I dont think so!!!

I rang Nissan 1st - and many many thanks to neil0502 - £33 delivered!!!! And what a lovely, helpful guy on the phone as well! Knew what part i was talking about straight away - the guy at Nissan didnt have a clue - had to get the tech guy to come and speak to me

So, should be here tomorrow (fingers crossed)

And dad still doesnt believe we can refit the other side with a bit of sticky and a couple of cable ties! But i told him, you guys know what your doing! LOL

My trailer light sockets are held on with one zip tie and my tow ball has dug in lots of times and its still there.
