I bolted mine through the roof and used plenty of tigerseal to stop leaks.

Ford badge does point the wrong way, but only 50% of the time :lol
There's not a lot of room up front with a sunroof fitted , so I'd be inclined to drop the head lining to be safe. That way you can fix the feet in the strongest part of the roof while missing all the internal strengthners round the screen etc.
I can't remember what size bolts I used but M6 should do it :thumbs

I have never seen any of these original bars, but I would imagine the brackets are all the same and yes two will face the opposite way. As long as they all clamp the bars I can't see this being a problem :thumb2

Where did you apply the tigerseal?

And is there any way that we could get this moved into Technical>Maverick/Terrano>Bodywork&Chassis, as I intend to use this thread to document as a walkthrough how I attach the rails and bars and spots etc

both sides of the rubber. I went a bit OTT on it all but it don't leak.

Is M6 the ones with the Hex key head?

Can be but any 6mm will do :thumbs

I'm sure I've got a full bag of these lying around somewhere as I brought some for when I replaced the bolts in my air rifle scope mount

I'm going to have a look in my gun cupboard.........

Just checked and they are M4, I take it those would be too small?

Banshee them brackets are the original ones from my short wheel mav, so must be right the way one faces forward and other to rear!! Didnt know thats how they fit as never fitted them but must be right as came with motor when I bought it!! Looks good though I must admit I wouldnt fancy drilling my roof, I'm s**t at stuff like that but looking forward to seeing it finished! :)

I got the lights off fleabay, simples :D Just get the best 4 light deal you can find. I modified the light brackets so I could get the lights as low as possible for tree clearance.:sly
I did a thread somewhere about it :thumbs

Your a gent!!! I was thinking of getting these but was unsure if they would be easy to modify the brackets, I want mine exactly how you have yours set up as in mounted below rather than above the bar;

Did you make your own wiring rig? If so, would you like to knock me one up for some sweet cash ;) ?

No wiring service here mate  I did mine yes but mine goes through military plug n socket, then down the pillar(internal) then in the dash via a solenoid to light up LED switches on the custom bit of lower dash I made.
It's easy to do, just get yourself the right size wire for the wattage you'll be running. Solenoids are rated too and have the wiring points labeled.
Good luck :thumbs

Pete think I remember you saying your lights were Wipac ones. If not, I have wipac ones and they are good quality.

Banshee I also have the ones you linked to, Plastic is not as good quality. But good for the price.

The mounts for the lights can be used with the light ontop or below the bar.

Tigerseal:

Don't get it on your hands, sticks like sh!t to a blanket.

Right, I've started to try and fit these tonight and after a ballache to get the roof lining down enough just at the front without damaging it I have decided they are impossible to fit!!!!!

Firstly if I use the foot for the middle section the rails just see-saw and neither end touches the car and secondly there is no space whatsoever at the front to drill through and attach the feet as there is only a tiny gap and I reckon I'd only manage to secure it properley with one bolt :S

It's driving me mad not to mention the fact that I've snapped and broken both sun visor plastic covers for the screws and the plastic trim panel that runs down the drivers side by the dash and window :(:(:(:(

Any help would be appreciated guys as time is of the essence as we don't have much sunlight left :(
