gearbox never came before the end of the week so still not mounted. Finished off some of the battery, fuel tank and brake flexi mounts. Aswell as the front end.

Gearbox came late monday evening. Fitted the gearbox that night.

So escort engine with a focus gearbox. Made new gearbox mounts to the frame as they were different. Engine and gearbox supported by their own brackets now.

Not yet, Can boost to about 14psi and turn the pump up too.

Also on the list is a bigger intercooler facing towards the front.

I am no expert in mechanical engineering, but I think you have a weak spot in your design.

It is the X in between the front seats.
In my opinion, it will buckle at the X

You go over a hump, ground it and game over.

I know that Rick will either agree or flag a concern...:nenau
It is NOT over engineered,:doh In my opinion of course..:nenau

defo a weak point but if you are still adding metal then prob not a problem, Rick

The buggy still lives, We did try and get rid of it but no interest. So we fixed it up, My two friends took it to a small auto test locally and it set the fastest time!

Went for a blast on my friends private land where they have just re-surfaced a track:
