has anyone got a 1995 mistral they could take piccies of the cylinder ? .... surely all mistrals should be the same on the same year ? :nenau

wot i meant was i cannot afford to get this if

a) its incorrect

b) it does not fix the fault

c) without " diverting funds " which i really shouldnt ( council tax )

this truck has allready gone way beyond any normal maintenance budget i had and even though it is ideal for my use , is stretching my patience somewhat ..... its about prioritising things at the mo , as im sure it is for everyone , it just seems ive aquired everyones share of bad luck all at once recently

in fact , i was that upset last night , that if someone had come along with a auto volvo estate / auto mpv... or even a auto green oval ..... i would have happily swapped

picture ?

you may be able to see it in this pic ( the only one i have ) :nenau

Hi Briggie, sorry to hear the sad news. My 1994 Mistral Auto had a new one fitted just before I bought it. There is no way to find out where they bought it from but I just took some good pics. On the left side it says "NISSAN BM50" and on the end it says "1F101 A 98H"
The pics are here:- http://bronks.info/pic1.jpg http://bronks.info/pic2.jpg http://bronks.info/pic3.jpg hope this helps in some way .... Rob

thanks mate :thumb2 im sure it will help , what does it say on the big round black thing ?

sheila has a 1994 mistral auto , and i will take a peek when she gets home ( and some piccies of the cylinder /black round thing too ) but they may be different :nenau

The number on "the big round black thing" is :- NISSAN 1F100 M215T JKC 854-01651 4526

1F100 M215T JKC 854-01651 5306

ignore the first piccie in this bit ... i think i posted sheilas one :doh

but the rest are mine ( my brake fluid reservoir is dirtier than sheilas  )

err...

just had a catch up with all this, sorry to hear about it Peter, these things happen and im sure it will get sorted.:thumb2

my big black round thing has nissan stamped on it and looks a bit different to that , but i could be wrong ,

the sticky out bit is the same colour and looks roughly the same , but , and its a big but ..... is the bore the same ?

the fitter rung milners and they reckon they have one ( £159  ) but are they assuming they are the same as the t2 ....... and are they ? , i really cant afford this cylinder , unless i borrow some money , and even then i have to be 100% sure its the right one

OK learning curve here for all, THE MISTRAL master cylinder/servo IS NOT THE SAME AS A T2 EVEN THE AUTO VERSION as in Ricko's pic, Petes looks to have a cylinder over a cylinder but offset, so Pete you need to talk to Milners and describe yours (I think a good description would be "the end looks like a figure 8"), Rick

For info this is a T2/Maverick, manual and auto petrol and diesel, brake master cylinder, I have searched several spares sites and MISTRAL is not listed, Rick
