Just got a 12 tonne hydraulic pipe bender for 30 quid , all shiney and loverly :clap
Roll cage next :naughty

Just be carefull on the formers on the cheaper units mate, They like to kink the tube. Theres a mod you can do on them to help.

Something like that, basicly the part in the very centre of the bend. You can make it more basic with just a bent piece of metal and a bolt as your using the same tube diameter every time.

the pipe bender looks and feels fairly substantial, dont think its a cheap one he just got lucky on the auction, it has all the various sized formers etc.

Semi wet sand, pack tube and tamp as you go, then tape the ends with gaffa, apparently

Pete give it a go, for £30 it's still a good price even if you don't use it on the roll cage.

Wet sand method works but Imagen having to pack it down tube for a big roll cage hoop? Pain in the arse. I saw a lovely disco with external roll cage done with one like mine.

Exactly for 30 squid I'll use it no worries. Gleened through youtube a few basic mods that'll cure it's weak points and also no need for wet sand with CDS and a snug former.
I'll be experimenting later in the week.
It's not like it's MSA spec :lol
