How about a poll?
I'm not pushing for one fix or another, other than I dont see we should be considering buying Briggie another truck/car.
Fix it , and leave it for him to use:bow

Agree with you on that one, imo buying another truck is not an option. The offer of a mechanic to swap the engines over, all be it on the south coast, gets my vote, i am quite happy to chip in again to get this truck back on the road.
Then it is down to Briggie to do with it what he wants........

Greenflag are very good, my sons car wouldn't start he called out greenflag on a saturday afternoon, mechanic decided it was the rotor arm and it couldn't get one until monday so he calls for a flat bed truck and the car and my son were delivered to our drive in Kendal form
Bournemouth 320 miles... driver had a cup of tea and set off back, he said that it would have cost £600 if we had, had to pay, more than his car was worth, and this was the day before xmas eve. My son saved £45 in petrol, more than the greenflag cost him. Well worth the money. regards bri
