Bloody insurance companies

Wasted 30 mins of my own time after an online quote dne 1 week ago to tell me that the quote needs to be assessed... And they can't offer me it at that price and doubled it. Fookin azzooles.

A green circle symbol insurance comp? Insure 4 u or some ol borrocks.

I told him what. Thought of him too, they didn't ring me after that.

After much struggling i found an ok insurance company starting from midnight...
One quote direct (company)

I know what you mean! I had success with Sky INsurance who got me a policy through Chaucer. Cheapest by far but a half decent fully comp policy - already had a windscreen through them on a weekend, no problems at all! Was a pain getting there though, so many insurers were just a complete joke.

Mine's due this month :( :bow

Hoping Adrian Flux will still give me a good deal even though someone claimed against me this year for an incident that didn't even happen GRRRRRRRRRRR

However, that's for a different thread all together

When I was looking for better quotes last year when I was 24 is was a right pain in the arse.

Spent 30 mins on one phone call telling mods etc for them to then ask is it kept in a garage or driveway, no. Oh we don't insure vehicles that are not kept any other way.

Another company, went through the mods etc. 30 mins or so later they ask my date of birth. Oh we don't insure people under the age of 25. AHHHHHHHHHH!

Anyway, stuck with adrian flux. Last renewal they were the cheapest and had loads of extras. My dads a named driver on my policy, he crashed his car (his fault) and it maybe added about £20-30 to my insurance cost last year, probably nothing now. So it might not be as high as you expect.

Price comparison sites are ok for standard vehicles with no mods.
I changed once, and only when I read the small print in the documents it said...
Re trailers, 4 wheel twin axle trailers not accepted.. :doh which the boat trailer was...:doh:doh

So I got ALL my money back and went back to my old company.

I always use comparison sites to check, then tell my current insurance company. that I am moving unless they can match, and they usually can, or get very close anyway.

Saved up to £100 per vehicle this year.

So don't auto renew.

Rustic

Just re-insured with Adrian Flux for another year :thumb2

23 years old, 5 years no claims, all my mods declared

£595.95 for the year :D:D:D

Thats come down £400 :clap

Did you do as rustic said above?

I did it last renewal with adrian flux and saved a nice amount. Just said on confused.com it's £xxx, it also helped one of their sister companies quoted me on confused.com too. ;)

Oh and I didn't even bother putting the mods on confused.com.

To be honest mate I'm happy with that price :thumb2

just got my renewal for my terrano 3.0 its gone up £10 this year to £277.36 comprehesive with AXA but then i am 71 .

My renewal this month is £298.30 fully comp with legal expenses and breakdown cover, courtesy car, and foreign use, including a named driver, my daughter, all with Nationwide, subbed to L & V, I am happy with that, my Wife's was similar with me as a named driver, Rick

I did ring my insurance comp (current at the time) they could not match this deal that turned out to be a waste of time... Anyway I got an alight deal in the end. No questions asked just how i like it. Just gimmie the bit of paper and get out of my face :lol

I've been with AF for years, 4 trucks in all, 2 Chevys, 2 Cruisers all with full NCD
£220 for Cruisers, £250 for Chevys. I consider that to be a fair result. Mind , I find them good to negotiate with cos sometimes they quote renewal prices quite a bit higher to see if they can get away with it.
