BBQ and camping by a beach

Anyone fancy camping (charge free) by a beach at Southerness in Dumfries and Galloway this following bank holiday (23rd,24th & 25th August) ??? The beach is absolutely massive. There are non of the usual camping facilities, leci, fresh water etc. Accesss to the spot can be made by motorhomes. The beach has a massive area when the tide goes out. Apparently a good ten minute drive by quad bike to the sea when the tide is out.
Anyone up for it ??? :smile: If not no need to explain why. :lol:

25th is the bank holiday Monday,will see if i can get that off and the wife but definitely of the Fri,Sat and Sun!!

Caravans

Apparently motorhomes and caravans can access the beach.
Also 4x4's can ride the beach aswell as quads when the tide goes out (for miles). Obvious caution to be taken but we can assess the situation whilst were there for safety etc.
BBQ and a spit roast over the fire are also on offer.
There is also a nature reserve near by.
This will be our first trip there and a friend has used this spot for over ten years for these activities. Its free, your free grab it while you can.

Quads

Quad bike rides around the beach are very likely.
If you are taking a tent I would advise you take extra long pins for the soft sand. :smile:
