My T 2 is having a rest for 6 month running my MX5 For summer, if I take the battery out of the T 2 and leave on charge in Garage its a trickle charger that also reconditions the battery will the T2 be ok or should I leave a battery in the car.

Makes no difference, chose whichever is most convenient, Rick

You may want to give the engine a run now and again, especially if it's outside, keep the oil circulating etc.

With my outboard engine, I always change the engine oil prior to winter storage, saves the acid in the oil from corroding bits.
You don't want your bits corroding do you ?

i'd leave it in the car, and start it up once every two weeks perhaps. I doubt your battery will dischard quickly, mine certainly doesnt!

p.s. im jealous as hell you have an MX5, im still after one!!!

After all the problems I've had in the past doing that - DON'T....at least disconnect the battery....and a conditioner is an even better option. :thumb2

If you run a mains cable to the car, make sure it's safe, and no one can get to the electrics, and protect them from the rain. Use an RCD trip in the house.

When I did a similar thing for my daughter's car I had the charger in the house and ran a low voltage cable out to the car, and put a small fuse at the car end, in case the cable was damaged.
Since the charger was in the house, I could see that it was doing it's job, as some have to be re-set if there is a power cut or similar mains interruption.

I also put a socket on the bumper so when my daughter forgot to disconnect it, :doh it un plugged it's self. :thumb2

Thanks

Thank for replys I have two batterys so might, keep swapping every month.
