hi guys

I took out the mini banjo fuel filter because truck was running really badly.
that made a big difference because it was dirty and choked.
however it go damaged on removal where can I get a replacement??????

I appreciate some people don't run with these filters but it was clearly stopping some particles from getting to my injectors which would have been a very expensive fix.

where can I source this small gauze filter???

if your was in the return line to the tank like all others that I have seen then it is not going to help your injectors, Rick

i will check over the weekend i may have one knocking about but cant think where it is

hi
its the one at the injector pump.
I don't think that is a return to the tank.....

Question, if it is on the return line why does the engine run better after its cleaned ?
I have a vague grasp of carbs on petrol no idea on diesel

on my first terrano i had when mine blocked it ran crap and eventually died no power and lots of smoke had a 15 hour relay back from scotland by the aa as they diagnosed it was the turbo but i checked turbo and it was fine joined here after finding info out about the mini filter and found it blocked cleaned it out and refitted it and it never missed a beat again and actually drove better than when i bought it that was the best tenner i spent joining here :thumb2

All of the ones I have removed have been on the return line, it's purpose is to ensure the metering orifice "tiny" does not get blocked but when the filer blocks from pump wear debris it sort of defeats the object, hence most peeps remove it and bin it, the metering orifice with spring loaded balance valve is designed to keep the internal pump pressure stable, Rick
