Baffle Plate & Grease Seal Replacement

Just been upgrading my front brakes (Disks, Calipers, Sliders& Pads) but thats another story. Could anyone tell me if you can still get the Baffle Plate & Grease seal that sits behind the disk & Hub assembley for a Ford Maverick 1998 or can I use a second hand one from a later Terrano as mine are all rotted out. :nenau

If you are talking of the bearing grease seal, only available from Nissan, you may find a used one but will probably damage it getting it out, and I guess you are also talking about the disk dirt shield, again you can probably find a used one, but all will have some degree of rot, Rick

Got over to Nissan today and yes the Grease seal B is available at £19 +vat but I had to give them the REG of a Terrano which I looked up on Fleabay. I've ordered one for each side. The brake baffle plates (Disk protectors) i'll have to get from a breakers at some point from a younger truck.

Ive never ever ever managed to remove a set successfully!!!! Same with the ABS sensors, impossible to remove

?? we are talking about the same thing. :nenau remove the Hub assembly and bearings behind which is a dome with a small seal around the inner edge, undo the 4 bolts (2 top, 2 bottom) this also hold on the baffle plate/disk cover. Shown as grease seal B on the workshop manual for the front drivetrain assembly.

I have several hub assemblies in the workshop, will have a look tomorrow re removing a disk shield if any are worth removing, Rick
